The Lobby:
If you haven’t done your homework and your younger siblings are being too loud , you might want to head to The Lobby in downtown Excelsior. Students who frequent this cafe report that sitting here and counting how many people they know walking past the window while drinking a matcha and eating a croissant really helps their productivity.
The Original Pancake House:

There’s no better place to go for brunch in the entire Twin Cities Metro Area, and it ’s less than five minutes away from our school. You might have to wait for 45 minutes, but that just means that you’ll be even hungrier and ready to eat their hearty portions of pancakes. I recommend the Swedish pancakes, which come with lingonberry jam. I also recommend everything else. Fair warning, you’ll probably have to take a nap after eating here.
Ben & Jerry’s:

It ’s never too cold for ice cream in Minnesota. If people can wear shorts in the dead of winter they should probably also be eating ice cream. This classic ice cream brand has a cute little store in downtown Wayzata that you should definitely go to if you can find parking. I recommend getting a blackberry malt.
