Everyone knows classes are already hard enough and our social lives aren’t much easier. Worst of all is the hassle of trying to manage both. You make plans according to one part of your life and it gets messed up by the other. With that being said, there are solutions that I use to get my schedule on track. Communication is necessary. Maybe its an obvious thing but, even still, you lose nothing from asking who is involved in your plans and what they have going on. Who knows, they may have their own agenda that can completely mess yours up, so it’s always best to keep your plans crystal clear.
That being said, keeping your schedule on track isn’t just about making plans—it’s about making more realistic plans. Sure it’s easy to assume that you’ll go home, get all your homework done, have time to go out with friends and still get 10 hours of sleep, but the harsh reality of things is that they don’t always go as planned. Things take longer than expected, accidents will happen, maybe people show up late and hangouts are longer than expected, or maybe you can’t focus as well as you usually can. Either way, you can’t always expect things to go your way which is why its important to prioritize your tasks.
