Health tip of the Month: drinking (water) with Mr. Johnson
Everybody knows that water is good for them. I have heard the saying that you should drink eight glasses of water a day, but never really followed it. Mr. Johnson, a math teacher here at MHS, definitely agrees with the idea of drinking ample amounts of water to improve your health. He says, “I used to drink things besides water that had lots caffeine in them, and I would always hit a wall during the day.” Mr. Johnson drinks water much more often now, and notices the difference in his health. After he cut out the caffeinated drinks from his diet, the wall was gone. Being a Boys’ Soccer coach here at Minnetonka, he advises the soccer players to do the same, especially during the school day. This advice applies to the all of us here at Minnetonka. Drinking water is a very healthy habit to start; it gives people more energy, without crash like a Red Bull or coffee, and is also known to keep skin healthy. So try stopping at the water fountain when you have the Monday blues, or need an added boost for a big upcoming test. It can’t hurt.
