Alia Arellanes, Editor-in-Chief
Greetings,
I'm Alia Arellanes, your 2016-2017 Editor-in-Chief of Minnetonka Breezes. I joined the Breezes staff last November as the Business Manager and I quickly fell in love with the work of our talented team of writers and editors.
When I'm not in room 2420A, I'm probably studying (or reading the latest Strib) outdoors or taking my slobbery, but always lovely, English bulldog Pearl for a walk on the Limestone Regional Trail.
To name a few of my very, very serious positions besides being the Breezes Editor, I'm a First Mate, a weekly volunteer at Sojourner Project, a Quentin Tarantino fanatic, a barista at Caribou Coffee, and an Election Judge for the City of Shorewood.
Moreover the dull 'here's what I like to do' spiel of bios, I get very excited, sometimes too excited, about scholastic journalism and the potential of all student journalists to serve as an outlet for all voices.
And as your Editor-in-Chief, I aim to produce an ethical, objective, and engaging newspaper for this school and outside community.
