What made you interested in Biology?
Mrs. Norton. She’s so interested in the subject that I became interested in the subject. Then I just enjoy learning about what is scientifically going on to make things like flowers grow and my heart pump. It’s my nerd-obsession.
What kind of projects do you do in Biology?
The labs were fun, especially the cheek cell lab where we found out if we were related to a caveman. Also, I interviewed a bunch of scientists. Some of the things they are doing and studying just blew my mind.
If you could genetically modify yourself in any way, what would you do?
I would make myself naturally blonde…I think they have more fun. Or, if it were possible, I’d make myself able to speak dog.
What are the first words that come into mind about Biology?
Photosynthesis, Norton and her cabin where there are bears and stalkers walking around, and Kurt who I met in Bio.
In your opinion, what is the greatest biological discovery?
The discovery of antibiotics. You need your shots. Without them, you would be like my friend Claire who has no shots and no anti-bodies, and now has to spend her life as a germaphobe.
What do you consider your greatest biological achievement?
This is still to come, when I discover the cure for cancer.
What’s the one thing everyone should know about Biology?
Everyone should know everything about Biology. It’s a brilliant subject to know what makes life processes work.
If you could be any part of a cell, what would you be?
I am the nucleus because I like to talk to everyone and tell them what to do (nucleus: organelle that contains DNA programming the entire cell).
