As we all know, prom season is here. You didn’t know? Well, this year’s theme is Casino Night and I may be taking a gamble here (get it?), but it’s going to be a blast.

1. Girls, you don’t have to wear heels! You don’t want to be in pain while dancing all night. Besides, if you’re wearing a long dress, no one sees your shoes anyway, so why not substitute them with a nice pair of Crocs? Comfort vs. fashion? How about both!

2. Make sure you have a backup location for pictures if you’re planning on taking them outdoors. There’s always the possibility that it will rain (or even snow), so it’s good to have a plan B.

3. Go to the dance. Prom isn’t like Homecoming or Sweethearts, where attendance isn’t considered “cool.” It definitely is, though. Go to Homecoming and Sweethearts.

4. You don’t need a date to go. You can go with a group of friends, dress up for fun, and make the night memorable.

5. Have fun with the theme! Bring your casino night accessories, like some sunglasses. Get your Poker Face on Lady Gaga-style on the way there.

6. Be a good date. Don’t leave them hanging, tell them that they look handsome/pretty, and have a great time!
Whether you’re going alone or with a special someone, prom will be a night to remember. Don’t forget to buy your tickets and ask your date if you haven’t yet (the clock is ticking). See you there!
