Claire Harley:
Introduce yourself briefly:
My name is Claire Harley, I am a graduate of Minnetonka High School class of ‘03, and I teach English 10, IB Lang & Lit and Vantage Public Policy. I’m also the advisor for Model UN, that seems important
What has been the highlight of your teaching career?
I think maintaining connections with students even after they have graduated, and seeing how they have gone on to do great things. Especially getting to hear how I’ve been able to support them in achieving their dreams and what they want to do outside of school.
Where do you see yourself in five years?
Probably doing the same thing, this is year 15. They always say 50% of teachers quit in the first 5 years, so if I’m still here that must mean I really like it. My hope is to be doing the same thing.

Meg Koenitzer
Introduce yourself briefly:
My name is Meg Koenitzer and I am an art teacher. I live with my husband and two kids and my dog in Minneapolis.
What has been the highlight of your teaching career? I would say getting to know really thoughtful and brilliant students who make really beautiful work. I don’t know if I have a specific moment, I feel like it’s all the little moments. Teaching is like a zillion moments every day that can drive you crazy, but usually really wonderful moments that make it fulfilling. The diversity murals are something I’m really proud of and love working with students on. I also love and prioritize creating a safe and inclusive space for every student.
Where do you see yourself in five years?
Making art, with good people. Wherever that is. Here, probably.
