Turkey Trot – November 28
A staple for many communities, Minnetonka is no different in planning an annual Turkey Trot each November. The 2024 Tonka Turkey Trot 5k will once again start and end at Minnetonka High School on the morning of November 28. With participation from hundreds of community members each year, this is an event you won’t want to miss. Even if you’re not much of a runner, walking the course is an a-ok way to go too. Online registration for the 5k is open at TonkaTurkeyTrot.org through November 26. Younger kids can also be registered for the Turkey Scoot, a 100-meter dash inside of the dome taking place the same morning.
Veterans Day – November 11
Each year, the United States honors veterans that have served for the country with a day dedicated to remembering their service. At Minnetonka High School, the MHS Student Government works to put together an annual Veterans Day Ceremony that brings together people from all over the community to honor the service put forth by members of the U.S. Armed Forces. This event is held on the morning of November 11 in the West Gymnasium, and all students are strongly encouraged to attend. Hear powerful stories and messages of gratitude for the veterans of our community and the United States.
